I was arrested over a wordpress charge for fraud.

    Good Evening,

    I have an issue that I am sure will baffle legal, almost as much as it has baffled me and destroyed my life. I have no idea as to where to start this, but I am going to attempt to try my best. And hopefully someone understands what is going on.

    Now, my WordPress website suspended me in 2018. I have not been a wordpress user since 2018, and I have moved Butler Citizen to Godaddy and parked the website for over a year.

    Recently I have been arrested, was jailed and forced to make bail. My ex girlfriend says I stole her credit card, and charged my website Butler Citizen on the date of 1/23/2020 and charged with credit card theft as my ex girlfriend stated on December 17, 2019 I charged on her credit card the website Butlercitizen.com. But this is IMPOSSIBLE. I am SUSPENDED from wordpress, and my website has been parked on godaddy since 2017.

    The ONLY information that I was provided with this case is the following information provided in what is called a ‘Discovery Packet’ In Pennsylvania where I am located.

    None of this make any sense to me as to how my ex could have been charged as her credit card was never even associated to the account, the account was paid via mastercard by a man named Larry Swa*****

    All of the above is correct, but there are absolutely NO charges from December 16, 2019. Wherefore I am lost and confused, and it is more then clear the girl lied, but no one will help me. I was fired from my position at work, I am soon to lose my house. All for criminal charges and credit card forgery charges for a website that shows I have not been billed. How in the hell can this be?

    I have included a copy of the criminal complaint from Pennsylvania. I in fact did not charge a wordpress website on December 16, 2019. My billing shows I did not charge a wordpress website on December 16, 2019. So how in the hell was I arrested for charging a website that I no longer even run or host using wordpress. How in the hell is it possible this is happening to me?

    I also received this message in my dashboard, there NEVER was a credit card on file for this account.

    All I can tell you is that the last charge made on the WordPress.com account you’re using to post here was a $99 renewal payment for our Premium Plan, made on 17 January 2018. There has been no further payments on this account since then.

    The domain, butlercitizen.com, is no longer connected to any site on WordPress.com. Even it it were, the domain mapping upgrade you had for that domain cost only $13, not $81, so the charge cannot be related to this domain.

    The transaction ID you provided does not match any transaction in our system, nor do we sell any upgrade that costs $81.60.

    If you’re not sure what site the charge is for, please search for the charge at https://wpchrg.wordpress.com/ – enter the transaction details on that form, and it will tell you if that charge exists on our end and what site it’s for.
