I was charged $48 for an account I didn’t know I had.

I was just charged $48 from WordPress but upon trying to login I didn’t even have a valid account. I’m hoping for some help tracking down the account that is being charged and getting it refunded.

$48 could be an upgrade to plan Personal. Same as you, I do not see any plans under the account you’re logged in currently so, if the charge came from WordPress.com, it’s likely under a different email address. Have you received a receipt for the purchase? If so, check the email address where it was sent and use that one to log in.
If you’re not sure what site or account the charge is for, it’s best if you search for it at https://wpchrg.wordpress.com/.
If the charge indeed comes from WordPress.com, you’ll be able to use the Contact Us link on that page to contact our billing support team directly for further help with this. We’ll need to get some additional information from you to track down the transaction, and we cannot discuss those here in the public forums.
