I was charged $99 for a blog I canceled last year. Please refund my money!

I don’t understand why you just billed me $99 for a blog I do not have. Please refund my money ASAP. This was supposed to be done last year!

    Hello careersviaeryn!

I checked your account and found your refund was made last year, you can see the receipt on the link below:

    https://wordpress.com/me/billing

I suggest you get in touch with your bank if it’s not showing in your bank statement.

    BILLING ISSUE/PHISHING?
I have been charged 99 USD. I have NOT autorized the payment and have NOT bought any services on the wordpress site. I have NOT submitted my credit card info with the site and since blocked my credit card.
I have had a wordpress site for a couple of years, but it has been inactive for 5 years (?!).

I would like to be reimbursed the 99 USD, and be given an explanation how/why WPCHRG.COM have able to charge my account.

I have registered WPCHRG.COM as a phishing site on google and contacted my bank…

Sorry for my “CAPS”, but i find this situation deeply unethical and undermines your product.

@festirstein, I checked your account and didn’t find any charge, as you can see on the link below:

    https://wordpress.com/me/billing

Do you have another WordPress.com account?

    Hello Carinapilar.

No. I do not have any other wordpress account. And my wordpress has been inactive for about 5 yrs.

Please look at https://wpchrg.wordpress.com/ . Om my creditcard statement wpchrg.com is the only note. The site looks highly SUSPECT and all links at back to wordpress.com.

I think you should contact your webmaster, as it seems to be a “scamsite”. The only function seems to sharing creditcard info.

    The title:
“Why was I charged? Seeing a credit card or PayPal charge you don’t recognize? No problem — search for info on your charge here:”
    says a lot…

I have NOT given my credit card info to wordpress og any subsites. I would like you to take action as it reflect badly back on wordpress.com…

    Best regards,

    @Festirstein

PS. I think further contact should be by mail…

@festirstein, I’m going to send an email to the address associated with your WordPress.com account, then we can proceed with your situation. Please post here if you don’t receive it.

The site “wpchrg.wordpress.com” is ours, and it’s for the users to find a transaction that they don’t know what it’s for.

    Hi Carina.

    Sorry:
Sorry, sorry, sorry… My mistake and have overreacted. I loosely remember that i started the site (last year?), but do nor remember signing up for a “subscription”. I have no intentions continuing with the wordpress site and my former wordpress site.

I will not contest he payment. I would like to cancel the subscription an delete the account/blog, as i have no intention of continuing with it. Also, I am not able to do it (% code, % email).

I will write what has happened on the forum, and apologize.

    Confusion/what happened?:
    1. “WPCHRG.COM”, is written on my bankstatement. I found the charge very suspicious. “WPCHRG.COM” is not a site i visit or have anything “connection” with wordpress. Mayby, it just me (?).

    2. “WPCHRG.COM”, links directly to a subsite of wordpress. This also looked very odd for me and only incresed my susbisition that the site was a phishing site.

    3. Half of the site is dedicated for inserting ones credit card details. This only reinforced my suspicition that it was a phishingsite. Asking for financial details from a site in that manner, seem very forward. The layout just didn’t look safe/credibel for me to insert my details.

The situation is as going on a bad date and having ordered. You really want what you’ve orderd, but find out that the next 2 hrs. are going to be hell. Is it worth the risk?

The site look highly suspect and that is why i registered it as a phishing site on google. “Designwise”, there are a lot of simulaties between “WPCHRG.COM” and a typical phishing site. Where you can get some kind of “goodie”, if you just insert your full creditcard details.

    The text:
“Why was I charged? Seeing a credit card or PayPal charge you don’t recognize? No problem — search for info on your charge here” – says a lot if you are unsure what has been deducted and who did it?

Perhaps I am overly protective of my personal information and credit card info (?).

    Ending:
I would like to thank wordpress for hosting my former blog for 10 yrs.
I am very sorry and ashamed of my mistake. I should handled it in an other fashion.
I have spending to much time with this matter and found it very frustrating.
I would like to cancel my subscription and have the newer blog deleted.
I will delete my former wordpress blog and account, next week.

    Best

    @festirstein
