I was charged to my account

  I got charged for my account that I don’t use. I’m not sure why it came out automatically, I don’t remember allowing to to make automatic payments. I haven’t used this in about a year and I would like to know if I can get my money back and delet this account.

  To save you time we can try to determine relevant details such as which upgrade, which site URL and which username account is this about.

  How many username accounts and sites do you have? Maybe you failed to cancel one and disable auto renew.

  Automattic Inc. https://automattic.com/ owns WordPress.com and other products like Akismet and VaultPress, etc. so this could be a charge related to one of them. It’s important to know that each charge is sent to the registered email address for each username account, so if you have more than one username account that could be confusing you. Also, if you have a wordpress.org account and a wordpress.com account that could be confusing you.

To confirm ownership, post in this thread under the username/account that purchased the upgrade. Then, I can look into refunding the subscription purchase.

  Did you check https://wpchrg.wordpress.com/ per @Timethief’s suggestion? Hopefully, you can pull up more information about the charge if you have the credit card used to pay for the upgrade.
