I was editing a new photo in my gallery and it disappeared

  I was adding a description to a new photo in my gallery, and when I clicked on continue it had replaced my whole gallery with this one photo, and when I clicked the ” undo” button it shows me my gallery in editor mode…but when I preview my page all images are gone. I cannot even find them in my media folder. I did not click on delete at any time.

  Also I have had this page for over 5 years and never had this problem. I add photos and edit them in my gallery all the time.

  So I have zero idea what went wrong.

  Oh by the way, the gallery in question is under illustrations/ pen and ink
