    I was wondering if my hotmail account is connected to my WordPress account?

    Also, if I initially came to register with WordPress through my Hotmail account. Would that mean that if I delete my hotmail account in the future this would effect my WordPress account in anyway?

    You were only brought over because of your Windows Live Spaces account, which Microsoft closed back in March and offered you the chance to move your blog here.

    Hotmail is still owned and operated by Microsoft and not part of our service.

    Your email address is used as your primary form of ID, so you should always change it on your account here before you actually close your email account.
