    Hi There-

You can definitely cancel and get a refund if it’s within the 30 days. There are no refunds, pro-rated or otherwise, after 30 days.

Log into your WordPress.com Dashboard and click on Manage Purchases which is located under Profile. Select the domain you are trying to cancel, then click on Cancel and refund.

Here is detailed info on how to do that as well.

    Hope this helps.

  • Howdy –

Are you asking about thebeautycure.com or another site?

  • Unknown's avatar

    Yes thebeautycure.com

  • Unknown's avatar

Do you wish to use the thebeautycure.com domain URL on another site registered under the same username account? Or do you wish to let it go completely? Staff need to know the answer to that question.

    Refunds and cancelling upgrades
There are no prorated refunds. Refunds https://en.support.wordpress.com/refunds/ are time limited.
    • WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund from date of purchase on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers.
    • The refund period for Domain Registrations and Renewals is 48 hours.
    • It takes from 1 – 2 weeks or 7 – 10 business days for the refund to be received after canceling an upgrade and requesting one.

You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard, cancel any upgrades, claim a refund for any qualified upgrades, and disable auto-renew. Canceling and refunding purchases http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#canceling-upgrades

    Canceling domains
It is important to know that cancelled domains are not released by the registrar immediately. Also note that here’s no guarantee you’ll be able to use a domain again as it may be sold to someone else. Therefore you should cancel a domain, if and only if, you are sure you do not wish to use it again.

If that does not resolve your issue. Provide the following first:

The URL of the domain in question.
The username account that registered the site in question and purchased any upgrades for it.
Whether or not you wish to use the domain on another site.

I want to cancel all together.

Thanks for your response. Have you followed through by using these instructions http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#canceling-upgrades?

I’ve tried. It keeps saying I don’t have any registered sites.
But I do! I keep getting charged for it monthly. I’ve tried all the advice everyone has given on this thread. And there is no option to cancel, delete etc… very frustrating.

There are no monthly payment plans here at WordPress.COM for any upgrades. This is also a duplicate thread https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/re-cancel-act?replies=2#post-3020145

What is the exact URL of the site starting with http:// ?

Oops! Ignore that last response please and wait for Staff lizkarkoski to respond to you here please.

  • Hi –

I’ve had a look through your account.

thebeautycure.com renewed on 2016-08-26 but you’ve not been charged for this domain since 2016.

If you have the emailed receipt for a recent charge from WordPress.com please let me know and I’ll collect those details from your privately by email. Then I’ll be able to locate the charge. It’s possible that the charge is coming from a different account all together.

One last note, as timethief has mentioned, WordPress.com does not participate in monthly billing. If you’re being billed monthly then that charge is not from our service.
