I went premium this year before you were hacked. My word press site went down

  This year I wen premium, before you were cyber hacked. I waited, heard nothing, but my word press account went down, and stopped. It cost me thousands of dollars. Why didn’t you contact me? Why was nothing done? I love word press, but can I trust you?

  In recent months, WordPress.com has not had a major security breach of any scale, though there have been some issues wherein self-hosted WordPress.org installations have been the target of hackers attempting to gain access to their accounts.

  We did not contact you over this issue because, while WordPress.com and WordPress.org function off of a very similar code base, we are not actually the same. You can read about the differences here:
