Hello, I want to use WordPress creator for creating, and when I want to map my own domain, in the plan I see ‘ ‘The domain ” is free for the first year’. If I have my own domain, after a year I have to pay for the domain in WordPress? or only for hosting?

    Hi there!

If you own your domain already at another domain registrar, you have two options here:

    1. Map your domain to your WordPress.com hosted site. The domain mapping is included with any WordPress.com plan (Personal, Premium, Business, or eCommerce.) for free every year. You would still need to pay for your domain registration at your current domain registrar.
    2. Transfer your domain to WordPress.com. The domain credit included in our yearly plans does pay for the domain registration for the first year. As part of the transfer process, your domain will be renewed for an additional year. If you just renewed the domain with your current provider, you will not lose that renewal. Each year after that you would need to pay for the domain registration on top of your plan renewal.

I hope that clarifies things! Let us know if you have any other questions.
