    Hi,

    I wish to transfer the username from one blog account to another.
    I am trying to change my username to something specific – let’s assume it is ‘jassica’. I used to have an account with that name, but because I have discontinued using the email address, I wanted to transfer that username to my current account.

    I renamed my old account to something else (e.g. ‘jassica’ is ‘inactive_jassica’ )so that it frees up my desired username.
    I have tried the steps in this page, and tried to change my current username to ‘jassica’;

    however I couldn’t change my username.
    It says ‘the user already exists’.

    However when I try to locate the user with the name ‘jassica’ it says it was deleted.
    Is it possible to get my username back?

    Hi supportfarlin,

    I’m sorry, but you won’t be able to get your username back.

    As mentioned in the Change Your Username suport article, once you change your username, your old name will no longer be available to you or to anyone else. This means your other user as well.
