I would like a refund

I have 1 word press site built by a professional and signed up for this to build my own site for a horsebox bar. I thought I would just be paying the monthly fee upfront and I could give it a go. This is not the kind of site that is suitable for what I need and the fact that I use the back end of another word press site does not help me at all. I would like to receive a refund for the £30 I paid please, I’ve not used it since the day I signed up and tried to contest it with Paypal first. Thank you.

Contesting the payment with PayPal when it was a payment you originally made and not actually WordPress’ fault that money was taken from your account might not be the best way to get a refund.
The usual procedure is that you can claim a refund if you have had an upgraded WordPress.com plan for less than 30 days. See here:- https://en.support.wordpress.com/refunds/
I had added modlook to the tag box for staff to advise you further.

Our system shows the chargeback has been cancelled so I’ve refunded you £30.
Refunds usually take 7-14 days to process and show up on your statement — although international refunds (outside the US) can take a little longer.
