I would like to cancel my domain so I can host elsewhere

  I would like to cancel my domain (jillianstampher.com) so I can re-register it with Squarespace – they don’t accept transfers and it would be easier to have it hosted there.

  Is this possible?

  Hi there,

  It would actually be better to keep your domain registered here, and add the custom records to point to your Squarespace site. If you were to do this, we would remain your registrar. If you cancel the domain it won’t be available immediately for re-registration. It can take days to maybe weeks for the domain to be released by our registrar.

  But if you don’t mind waiting for the release and the potential of someone purchasing it before you do when it’s released, then you can cancel it.
