You could map the domain name followus.se to a blog on WordPress.COM – you would need to have the staff add a zone record for followus.se if you want to map that domain to a blog here.

Changing the name servers is the preferred way – IP address changes are not recommended and the staff have removed the IP server info – you will need to argue the IP address with the staff – I will flag this for them
Did you registrar explain why they can’t change the name server info?

You can change name servers and still have the mail work – I did on mine – but it is extra work and not straightforward some MX records need to be added – you can also do email with Gmail and some mapping stuff – that does have instructions here
