I would like to map an existing domain to wordpress blog
-
BUT, I would like to keep my current DNS provider as I have a ton of other settings there, and would hate to maintain different sites in different locations.
I would also like to be able to use http://www.boaneo.com, rather than just boaneo.com, but as far as I can read from your various descriptions, that is not possible?
Basically, I want to be able to create a CNAME record at my current DNS provider which forwards http://www.boaneo.com to boaneo.wordpress.com
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
You can keep your domain with your current host and simply map it to your WordPress.com blog. You’ll need to change your nameservers to the following:
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
NS3.WORDPRESS.COMIf you’re not sure how, you’ll need to contact your registrar for assistance.
After you update your domain’s name servers you can purchase the Domain Mapping Upgrade to have the domain mapped to your WordPress.com site.
As you found, it is not possible to user the www with your WordPress.com site.
Please let me know if you have any trouble getting your domain working with your blog.
Best,
