I would like to remove domain mapping
-
I am moving my blog over from wordpress.com to wordpress.org and would like to map my domain to my new host – BlueHost, so I can set up my new site :)
Can this be done? Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Sure! You will need to update your domain registrar with the name server information from BlueHost so your domain points to that site.
Do you want me to delete your domain mapping upgrade now, or do you want to wait until your domain has been updated?

Hi squadus,
Did you register a custom domain name through WordPress.com?
If so you’ll want to read this article.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#moving-to-wordpress-org
There are two ways to point your domain to another host. One is to transfer the name to that host http://support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/domain-management/#transfer-to-another-registrar The other is to update your Name Servers to that host http://support.wordpress.com/domains/change-name-servers/.If you are talking about your mocciblog.wordpress.com address that you would like to map it to BlueHost, you would need to look at the Site Redirect product http://en.support.wordpress.com/site-redirect/.
Hope those links help you out. If you have any questions let me know.

I have my domain registered on GoDaddy and am hosting on BlueHost. Will this make a difference?
-
the url is moccidesigns.com and i just changed the URL to mocciblog.wordpress.com.
I want to get rid of the mapped moccidesigns.com so I can point it to my host

I think I might have figured it out. This whole process is confusing for the first timer.

Hi squadus, my info was overkill as your domain is not registered with WordPress.com. As @jackiedana said all you should have to do is update your Dns at GoDaddy with BlueHosts Dns information.
-
Correct, once you update your name servers (and do anything else your new hosting provider may require) you should be all set. I can remove the domain mapping on our end whenever you wish.
