I would like to signal a wordpress site that copied my website

    Hello to the WordPress community,

    I manage a website called http://www.surfavenue.fr that is the e-shop of 2 watersports physical shops in France. Our site is made from Odoo.

    Recently we received many warnings from customers that a scam website copied our surfavenue.fr website, using the same logos, articles, categories, etc.. Looking at the weird content and the pages, I suspect that a bot or an AI made it. The name of this scam website is : http://www.surfavenuefr.com .

    Anyway, I don’t have a lot of knowledge for this type of case and I realized this scam website was made on WordPress. With the following IP : 188.114.96.2:443. So maybe I would have a chance to contact WordPress to help me with that ? I can imagine it doesn’t benefit WordPress to be a tool for scams on the internet.

    Please, if you have any idea or suggestion about how to react that would be very appreciated ?

    For information, I already signaled it to the french governement service dedicated to this type of issue, but they don’t seem to be very responsive.

    I’ve checked it, and the site surfavenuefr.com is not hosted on the WordPress.com servers.

    We have no control over self-hosted sites built using free WordPress software. Those sites use the open source WordPress software and aren’t hosted by us, so you should contact the appropriate web host with complaints.

    The site seems to be hosted with Cloudflare. You need to contact them to get assistance with this. You can also reach out to the WordPress.org community
