  Hi Notawoodpecker,
  I am not happy with the way WordPress.com assigns page titles.
  Is there anyway I can change?
  (at the moment my site homepage title is just ‘Home’. I want to change it to ‘Welcome to Silver Filigree | Luxury Gifts, Stunning Silver Jewellery, Fabulous Handicrafts and much more’

  Certainly you can. It might be overkill if you use a Title and Tagline on your site, but it’s up to you. If you use a Custom Menu you can call that tab anything you want.
