  Typically there’s no limitation on the structure or spelling of your domain name, as long as it hasn’t been registered by anyone else.   Otherwise, please feel free to try registering your domain or choice. As for your question about ads, you can indeed remove ads from your WordPress.com site with any of our paid plans.
