I would like to transfer the content of my old blogspot blog to my new wordpress

  Same title, but I’m switching from blogspot to wordpress and would like to import my content to the new site. Couldn’t find info. on this.

  You can import your Blogspot (Blogger) blog from Tools -> Import in your blog’s Dashboard.

  Tried that, but it is sending a message that wordpress is not recognized. What next?
