    I would like to trial WordPress without moving my domain name at this time. Is that possible? I want to make sure WorldPress is the right fit for our website.

    This will allow you to see if this will work for what you are looking for. I would like to point out that WordPress makes up roughly 30% of the internet. The possibilities are endless. If you run into any issues where you get stuck, or can’t figure out a solution to make WordPress work for your situation, remember there are thousands upon thousands of resources for WordPress online, including this forum.     You don’t need to move your domain here to create a site, no. When you create a site at https://wordpress.com/start, you’ll be provided with a free WordPress.com or .blog subdomain, and you can test things out and even build your site completely at that free address until you’re ready to connect your actual domain.

    It looks like you copied that link from a paid Google result. That means every time someone clicks on that link, we have to pay Google for a referral. Please don’t use links like that here in the forums. Please use the link I provided above instead, or just https://wordpress.com/free/ if someone specifically has trouble finding the option to create a free site.

    This link does not allow me to trial a WordPress. It takes me though a 6 step process and asks for my cc on the 6th step in addition to changing my domain name!

    We do not offer free trials for paid plans on WordPress.com. But we offer a free plan.

    On the Domains step, select only the free address, not a custom domain, and on the Plans step, select the free plan. Then you won’t be asked for payment details.

    If you use the WordPress.com/free link provided above, the free plan should be selected automatically.
