  I would love a discount for my purchase today. I’m unemployed at the moment and creating my site and didn’t know that you had to pay a full year in advance.

  We’re not currently running any promotions on our paid plans, but the good news is that you can use WordPress.com entirely for free on our free plan that never expires. A paid plan is only required if you want the optional extra features included in our plans.
