I wrote a post but how do I link it to my home page in website?
-
HELP. I had my website done by a horrible company. They wanted to sell me everything and even asked for money to release me the rights to manage my website. Now that I asked them how to publish my blogs ( which I write every month), they refuse to help.
So just to navigate you thru the problem. On my homepage I have a section for “my latest posts” . Each one has a picture, when you click on it, it takes you to another page and you can read the whole article.
i was able to find the section where I can edit those pictures so I added the picture I wanted as a cover for my new post.
i also wrote my new post and clicked on publish. The problem is that when I click on the cover picture in my home page it doesn’t go anywhere, it shows an error, page not found.
so my question is how do I link that picture to the correct place where all my other blogs were written? ( I had the company set up my first 3 blogs ).
thanks so much in advance !!

Hi thenannythatcould ,
May you please provide the link to the website that you need assistance with. Its important to be able to help you further with this issue.
In the meantime, assuming your website is one hosted on this platform (WordPress.com), there are a number of ways to have your posts show on the homepage , or any page for that matter. Have a look at these guides I will link below , there could be something to take you to the next step. Please reach out again if you need further help , once you have provided the link to your website .
Add posts as featured content: https://wordpress.com/support/featured-content/
Add posts to any page (including sections on the homepage) using the Latest Posts block : https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/latest-posts-block/
Display a slideshow of your posts, on any section of your website : https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/posts-carousel-block/
Display a grid of your posts, on homepage or any page on your site : https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/blog-posts-block/
I hope one of these help. ;)

Hi there!
@codinggigi has shared a lot of valuable resources above. I hope you found them useful! I wanted to clarify that because your site uses WordPress.org and is hosted by Bluehost, we aren’t able to help directly, as we can only help with WordPress.com sites on this forum.
There are some differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org. If you aren’t sure about them, please check the following page that explains it: WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org.
Perhaps you can consider migrating your site to WordPress.com so we can help you with your site should you need it. :) All the WordPress.com plans include access to our Happiness Engineers, with the yearly Premium and Business plans offering live chat support.
You can check out the plans and pricing here and let us know if you’d like to migrate your site to WordPress.com. We have a dedicated guide that will show you how to migrate your entire site to WordPress.com, but we’re here to help you with the process, too!
Thanks!
