Hi there, what is the URL of your website currently? Are you trying to move it to WordPress.com, or are you, for example, trying to activate the Jetpack plugin?

I am trying to activate the WP plugin

    The URL is savvyshaka.com

    Hi dskzeus,

Thanks for the link. savvyshaka.com is a WordPress.org site hosted by Beyond Hosting (rather than WordPress.com):

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

Iam trying to connect my web site to WordPress.com

The Jetpack plugin can be used to create a connection between self hosted sites like savvyshaka.com and WordPress.com:

    Jetpack

You’ll need to install the plugin and then follow the setup instructions for connecting to WordPress.com. Once that has been done, you should be able to manage savvyshaka.com through the account you have here.

    I hope this helps.

I can’t connect to jetpack and I can’t connect to WP.com… What am I doing incorrectly? Thanks,

  • Hi there,

savvyshaka.com has Jetpack installed and it’s already connected to another WordPress.com account that seems to be owned by you. Please log in to your other WordPress.com account to be able to access your site.

If you’re unable to log in to the other account, please follow our Account Recovery guide:

    Recover Your Account

Please note that your WordPress.com account’s credentials (username and password) are different than the ones for your site.

  • @dskzeus you opened another thread with the message “the plugin failed to install” …

Can you try reinstalling it manually? You’ll use your host’s file manage or FTP to delete Jetpack from wp-content/plugins , then re-upload and unzip the file to reinstall.

I have done what you said to no avail. Help

  • To connect savvyshaka.com to your WordPress.com account dskzeus, you first need to disconnect it from your other account. Have you followed the Account Recovery guide I linked above?

    Recover Your Account

Alternatively, you can log-in to your site through this link http://savvyshaka.com/wp-login.php (make sure to click on the Log in with username and password) and follow these instructions to disconnect Jetpack:

    Jetpack

I have tried the link and follow the Account Recovery guide but it will not process because I don’t have the transaction ID, the verification ID or two-factor authentication data. The alternate method is also not working so I cannot disconnect jetpack. Is there a workaround?

  • If you do not have the access to the registered email address or the information that the Account Recovery system asks for, there is no other way to gain access to an account. We do not gather any other information that can be used to verify account ownership.

Then what do you suggest I do to access savvyshaka.com/wp-admin. It was working and suddenly it stopped. I have tried all my past archived passwords and none works. Please help. Thanks

  • We have no control over your WP-Admin login for that site, as that site is not hosted on our servers. The login details for that site are stored in the site database on your hosting provider’s servers, so you need to contact them for help with this.

Your site at savvyshaka.com is hosted by https://beyondhosting.net/

And you can find the password reset instructions for the open source WordPress software you’re using for that site here:

    https://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password

Our account recovery process can only be used to gain access to the WordPress.com username account connected to the site via the Jetpack plugin. But we cannot help you at all with logging into the site’s dashboard itself.
