ICANN verification error

  • Unknown's avatar

When I try to access my DNS info to add records, there is a message saying I there are issues with ICANN verification. When I click to verify, a red error box immediately pops up with no message in it, just an exclamation point and an ‘x’ to close the box… I need help getting past this so that I can update my settings.

    Hello cjakeallen!

There is a problem at our domain registrar and we’re working with them to get things fixed as soon as possible. I ask you to, please, try again later.

I’m having the same problem here…

I’ve already changed my DNS records, but now they are asking to check if I received a confirmation from ICANN. And I did not.
When I try to resend, a red block appears with no message, empty.
I am trying to use a different server to import a template, but I’ve already bought my domain with you. I’m not sure I made the right decision choosing WordPress…

@mateuslustosa, I found that you have cancelled the domain and got a refund already. It looks like a self-hosted WordPress.org site is the best option for you, if you want to use a template you bought somewhere else. Here is more information about the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org:

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

Even choosing to use WordPress.org, you can register your domain with your WordPress.com account, then point it to your WordPress.org site.
