Icon Issue

Strange … I can’t search through the subject lines or content in these forums, to find the answers I need.
Since there are over 800 posts, and I’m not about to begin searching through them all one at a time …I’ve uploaded an image and assigned it as my icon … but I still get the pretty but not my own wordpress-assigned icon on my profile … please help me to change my icon to the image that I have assigned as such.

I have a similar problem. I uploaded an image as my icon and on my computer I see it on the url where the WordPress icon used to be. However, from my work computer, it sometimes shows the wordpress icon, the firefox icon or the explorer icon.
How do I fix it?

In the mean time, I see that your icon is showing up (in the side bar here, at least), whereas mine is
that little wordpress ditty, despite the fact that I’ve assigned an image … an image that shows up on my dashboard as my icon. -

Icons can take a while to propagate. How long ago did you upload?

I saw it just recently, but now it is gone…weird. Your favicon/blavatar looks good, but your Gravatar is not here.
It usually takes just a couple hours at most.

well what does ur icon look like and is it really different from ur icon? when i leave a comment on my posts my icon is different from mine on wordpress

My icon is a spider web with a spider and a fly in the web … you’ve probably never seen it because it doesn’t appear.

I have seen it a couple days ago. I don’t know why it would have disappeared. Did you try re-uploading it?

Several hours have passed, and still no icon.
Actually, I’m lucky just to be able to post a reply … the forum wouldn’t allow me to log in for the past hour, in order to post … bbbbbbbbbbbbbzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz ….. -
Same here. I had some login issues as well. Seems to have been a browser issue…I restarted mine and everything works.

Actually, the issue is coming and going … I didn’t do any restarting, and it’s allowing me to log in about every second or third try.

I also experience that kind of problem. Does anyone here knowa how to prevent that problem?
