Icons for links in the widgets?

  I am new to WordPress and I am trying to build my blog. I was trying to put in the widget section links using icons to take people to my twitter, facebook and Linkedin. Am I able t do that?

  First, add a Link following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/blogroll/

  Within the Link’s settings fields, fill in a URL for the image in the “Image Address” field towards the bottom.

  Then, just add a Links Widget following this guide and make sure that “Show Link Image” is checked: http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/links-widget/
