I'd like a permanent pingback on my page

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi guys,

I’ve joined a writer’s site and they say: “This is your allvoices ping address. Copy the address into your blog’s Trackback or Ping box. For details how to add the ping address to your blog, please check your blog platform’s help section.”

However, I don’t see a clue on WP how to do this. Could you please guide me?

    Many thanks,

    N’n.

  • Hi, happy to help!

No problem. You can follow these instructions to add your trackback address:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/comments/trackbacks/

You can also learn more about pingbacks here, which are slightly different, thought the names are very similar.

Hope that helps. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

    Cheers,
    Jerry

    Hi there,

You can use the Trackbacks feature on WordPress.com to do this. You will need to enter the allvoices ping address each time you create a post that you want to send to allvoices.

When you create a new post (by going to Posts > Add New in your blog’s dashboard), you can scroll down below the editor to the Send Trackbacks module. (If you don’t see that module, you may need to add it in your screen options in the upper right corner of the page.) Enter the allvoices ping address in that module, and the trackback will be sent to allvoices when you publish your post.

If you have any questions about this, please let me know!
