I’d like a place to keep ideas.
-
I have created a draft entry where I am collecting thoughts and ideas that I might use in the future. I have made a note in the title and first line to NOT PUBLISH this draft. Would others find it beneficial to have an area to record information about their blog for their own use? I’d sure like it.
Maybe it’s already there and I haven’t found it yet. I’ve only been at this for about a week.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Putting your ideas into a draft is undoubtedly going to be mistakenly published. (Ask how I know!)
You could open a second and private blog. Then if your ideas get published, only you will see them. I have a few blogs just for keeping ideas and for experimenting with. They are easily accessible on my dashboard. Couldn’t be easier…
-
You would not believe how many draft posts I have in my blogs. If you create several draft posts by clicking “save draft” rather than “publish” you end up creating a private “library” of draft posts. In other words, we already have this ability.

tt,
That is why I started the private blogs.
I don’t like having to sift through all the posts and ideas and make a mistake publishing something i want private. Also some code changes if you switch back and forth visual to html and back, so the private extra blogs with unadulterated code are at my fingertips.
-
I also have several private blogs and all of them also have “libraries full of draft posts” too. :D
-
The private blogs help because I can organize the code snippets and ideas with categories so there is a chance I can find them when I need them.

@Tass
I’m a paralegal and former research and reference librarian. When it comes to having organized private blogs I’ve got my ducks in rows … LOL :D
I have private blogs at Tumblr, Blogger and here wordpress.com too. They are very well organized. However, I still have “drafts” in all my public blogs. -
You could just get a private Tumblr. That’s a great way to do scrapbooking, just putting things there to get back to later. They have an “Add to Tumblr button that’s really useful.
Tumblr, however, has so little googlejuice that it’s almost not worth making it private. Hardly anyone will find it anyway.

timethief,
I’ve had a couple of librarian friends—very cool. It’s interesting that you still have drafts in your public blogs (I know I do).
The concept of using private blogs for organizing is something I had to learn.
It’s appropriate for us to introduce inexperienced bloggers to the possibility. -

It’s appropriate for us to introduce inexperienced bloggers to the possibility.I agree 100% with you and I’m now sensing wondering if you misunderstood my awkward self-deprecating attempt at humor. Sorry :(

TT,
No problem. I was only trying to be business-like:
I know that sometimes I wander off topic and get into conversations.
