I’d like my blog posts to be under my name, not Admin

  How can I make it so that my blog posts are authored by my name, instead of by ‘admin?’

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Howdy, howdy!

  You can change that by going to: https://wordpress.com/me or clicking the top right image, next to the write button and that will take you to your profile. From there you can change the Display name.

  Thank you for replying!
  I wish that did help, but it didn’t. Is it because my site is hosted somewhere else? I’ve tried updating my user profile, but it still has me as “admin,” even when I update to my name under nickname. It’ll change for a second, but as soon as I click update, it goes back to admin.
  I can’t get the log in to say anything but admin, and I’ve created another user under my name with the role of administrator, but I can’t delete admin which I thought might leave just the user with my name. So now I have admin, which can’t be changed to anything else, evidently, and a user profile under my name that I can’t log in with or use at all.
  There must be a way, I’m just not seeing it.

  I see now. Yes, you are using a self-hosted installation of WordPress is why. :D

  My apologies about that. There are some differences on that as outlined here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  For that support you would go to https://wordpress.org/support and ask there.

  The only other thing that comes to mind is cache.

  Hi there,

  Just to corroborate with the previous reply, your site is self-hosted with WordPress.org

  You can know the type of WordPress CMS you are using by using tools like What CMS

  To, change your post author names in your website you can always post your query at https://wordpress.org/support

  As a quick pointer: On your website:
  1. Log into the website dashboard.
  2. You need to add an additional user to your site.
  3. Edit the post you want to modify. On the post edit page, you will find the option to change the Author of your post.
