I'd like to cancel my domain, which is more than 2 years old

  I went to My upgrades, to cancel my domain. The only option I got was to end auto-renew. Then I went to Tools to delete my blog, and I am not given any options – other than to contact support.

  I would like to delete my blog and cancel my domain. I understand no refund will be given, that’s okay. I’d like the domain name disabled and the blog disabled.

  Hey there!

  I can help with the domain name cancellation. I wanted to give you a few details first…

  If you want to keep using your brooklynhomestyle.com domain but you don’t want to use WordPress.com anymore, you don’t have to cancel it. Instead, you can continue using the domain by connecting it to a site hosted with another provider:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/move-domain/

  However, if you don’t want this domain at all, I can cancel and remove it from your account for you.

  Before I do, you should know that when we cancel a domain, it can take up to several weeks to be released by our registrar.

  **We can’t guarantee that you will ever be able to purchase brooklynhomestyle.com again once canceled, so please keep this in mind.**

  Alternatively, you can keep it until it expires, and simply not renew it after that point. You’ll be given the option to renew or cancel the domain upon expiration.

  Thanks for answering so quickly!

  Great, I understand all that you’ve mentioned about cancelling the domain name. I do not want to use that domain again, or move anything over. So yes, please cancel it and remove it from my account. Yay!
