I'd like to "publicize" a "page" on my social sites
-
I’m trying to share or “publicize” a page on my site on my social sites: linkedin, facebook, etc… How would I go about this?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Technically speaking, you can’t. Publicize is RSS-based, and static pages are not included in RSS feeds. You can, however manually post the link to each of those platforms.

Good Morning,
How would I go about “manually” posting links to the platforms mentioned…also, is there any prescribed way to efficiently promote “pages” via social media, something similar to what’s available using post? -
Create a page http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/
Enter links on the page http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2013/05/20/creating-html-hyperlinks-links-in-wordpress/
Publish the page. -

No. Pages are not at all attractive to search engines. Posts are very attractive. Pages they sit outside the blog structure and are for content that rarely ever changes and as raincoaster said they lack RSS feeds. Read the characteristics of Pages and Posts here http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2010/05/12/better-blogging-at-wordpress-com-pages-and-posts/ so you clearly understand the SEO implications of choosing to create a page based structure (website) rather than a post based structure (blog).

Oh I see! So it’s better to create and link “pages” to my social media platform as needed, than to develop a blog structure around “pages”? Will do! Thanks!

It’s sounds like you got it. To attract search engine attention we publish posts, not pages frequently. :)

I was just reading your “One Cool Site…”, and I feel a little more confident about what I’m trying to do…this is my first blogging experience. (thanks for being gentle with me ;-) Cheers. C
