  I want to purchase a domain name:

  I believe it’s available, but when I go through the automatic site to purchase, it says it’s taken. Please confirm.

  The domain name you are referring to is already taken https://snipboard.io/vG3WCZ.jpg, Unfortunately, you cannot purchase a domain that is already in use.

  That domain is in process of being returned to the public market, so we no longer have control over it: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/domain-expiration/#domain-released

  I recommend trying to register it once a day, and if no one else gets to it before you, you should be able to acquire it eventually.
