Ideation & Intent – Photo sidebar not updating

  Hi. Can anyone help with this issue of my photos not appearing in the sidebar? I see lots of people have had issues with the photo sidebar not updating so I have read all the suggestions but nothing has helped me so far.

  I have tried using the old ‘classic editor’ instead of the new one, tried checking the images are linked to the post, tried deleting the old images and re posting/saving the message. But nothing results in the photobar updating with the rest of my photos from my posts. Is this an error with the template that is not going to resolve or is there a magic way to sort it out?

  I was previously using the fictive theme and change it to Ideation and Intent, so all the information was copied from before. The photos that appeared in the sidebar had been posted as ‘image’ format or ‘video’ format, so could this be anything to do with it? I tried changing the setting for this theme but it just seemed to have the standard one available.

  Any help you can give would be much appreciated as I have just decided this is the theme for me so don’t want to have to change again!! Please don’t just copy and paste the explanation from the theme description about the photo sidebar as this seems to be the response given to all the other posts on this topic so I have read it about a million times now and it has still not provided any insight into the issue lol!!   So suddenly one of my photos appeared! I realised I had detached and reattached through the media library so tried that for the others and it worked.

  I had actually done that already too so not sure what had changed, but I did try to change the default setting to image rather than standard as that was the posts that had shown up after changing the theme…so could be this maybe?

  Thought would update in case this helps anyone as it was driving me a bit crazy. Now just have to work out why it randomly puts some smaller than others in the photobar?!!
