Identify multiple authors! Why not?
-
My blog has multiple contributors. Why can’t the WordPress software automatically identify WHO posted a given blog message according to their user information? As it is, I need to remind each of my posters to be sure to include a “Posted by XXXXX” line in their blog post.
Or is there a toggle switch I have not turned on?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Is this the blog you are talking about http://stoichiometry.wordpress.com/ ?
Whether the author is shown in the post metadata for each post is theme specific. Each theme author decides what they want to include or not. The theme you are using does not show the author.

If you decide to change themes, here is information about which themes display the authors:

I did not realize that identifying who is posting was “theme-specific”. That’s a little strange, I think, but now I know!
I like the theme we are using, so perhaps there will be an “upgrade” to this capability at some point.
Thanks for the help.

Whether the author shows or not was the choice of the individual theme designer, and wordpress seldom makes changes to the basic design of the theme unless it is necessary to support a feature here at .COM.
There are many users here that choose a particular theme because it does NOT show the author, so if they add the author to the theme you are using, then they will irritate those that chose it because it did not show the author.
