Identifying search engines?

    Is there any way to find out specifically which search engines people are using? I’ve always been vaguely curious, but I’m suddenly getting a lot of hits (more than 1/3 of yesterday’s, more than half of today’s so far) from searches for an irrelevant phrase and am wondering where they’re coming from.
