.ie domain mapping problem
-
I wish to point my new domain of .ie to my wordpress blog. As per wordpress instruction I requested my domain controller to change my name servers. But my domain controller webworld.ie is saying that they can not update the nameserver as wordpress people are not added the same in their DNS record. It is a deadlock from both side for me. Can anybody help me in this problem. – francis

You need to log into your domain registrar account, and go to the DNS setup page, and change the nameserver from there to
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
NS3.WORDPRESS.COM
as described in : http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/(Note: The DNS change can take some time and upto 72 hrs.)
after the nameserver change is done, then you can go to Upgrades -> Domains from your dashboard and map your blog. wordpress.com needs your domain name to first be bind with wordpress’s nameservers.

Francis, we’ll need to add a zone record for your domain before you can make the nameserver changes, what’s the domain name in question?
-
Hanni — domain name is demello.ie
How to add this zone record? And who will do that?Phoxis — I dont have direct access to DNS records, but I have already provided nameservers to them.
Thanks

@demelloinstitute I’ve just done it for you :) You can now make the nameserver change (or ask your registrar).
