If I buy my domain name, does that allow me to add other plugins without a host?

  I’m trying to create a website that I can afford. I need to be able to have a plugin for folks to signup for my newsletter that I can link to mailchimp. I’m wondering if this is something I can do with wordpress if I buy my domain name.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  If you want to use MailChimp with your WordPress.com site right now you can do so by creating a link to the signup form on MailChimp and providing it to your visitors. Here’s the info from MailChimp Support http://kb.mailchimp.com/article/how-to-add-a-mailchimp-signup-form-to-your-wordpress-blog

  Answer: No. Nothing chnage except the URL when you purchase a domain mapping upgrade. You are confusing WordPress.COM hosted blogs and WordPress.ORG software installs.

  There is no such install plugins tab/button on any WordPress.COM hosted blogs now and there never has been one. There is no FTP access and no blogger installed plugin capability on any free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and there is no upgrade you can purchase here that changes that reality.

  If you want FTP access and to install plugins or third party themes into a site then you will have to hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting/ and set up your own WordPress.org install. WordPress.org offers free software that you can install on a web server. You can upload and install themes and plugins, run ads, conduct ecommerce and edit the database.   Hi, I chose wordpress platform for my blog site because its easy for any newbie like me.

  Anyway, I am trying to add paypal on my blogs ite but I am not able to find the plugins option. I have also upgraded my plan to premium. Do I need a hosting company for me to integrate paypal on to my blog site?
