  If I decide to transfer my site to another host and I am not pleased for whatever reason, will be I be able to return to WordPress.com?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Yes, but not to the original URL you had if you delete it. So we generally recommend not deleting it, just setting it as Private, in case you change your mind later.

  Yes, just set the site here to private and then it will be waiting for you should you decide to return. Never delete a blog/site here because once deleted it is gone forever. Neither you nor anyone else can get that URL again. With it set to private, no one can see it or access it.

  If you had upgrades and they haven’t yet expired, you don’t have to pay for those until they do expire. If you don’t have upgrades, you don’t have to pay for anything. If you want to use a custom domain name here, that’s an upgrade.
