If I delete phots from my media library does that take them out of a post, too?

  I have blog posts I have reblogged, so wanted to delete those photos from my media library to free up some space but wondered if I do delete them, does that take them out of the post, too? Or do the posts remain intact?

  It might be a silly question, but I wanted to check before I do any deleting.
