If I disable my current address, does it become available for others to use?

  I was playing around to see how a blog for our Scout troop would work. I should’ve named it ‘test blog’ because now I realize that if I delete the site address, I can never re-open it again. Would the address still be available for other troop members to open if they so desire? I don’t want to hold the address since I’m not in a position to use it right now. I’d like to release it for future use within the troop. Please advise.

  You can’t “release” a URL as such as in send it back – so DON’T DELETE THE GREAT URL / NAME

  Set your comments to “moderate” (so you are notified when someone leaves a comment) and have a Post at the top stating that the name / URL can be used by someone in Troop 81 and then just leave it – it someone finds the name they can leave a comment to contact you
