We provide support for on these forums only for free hosted WordPress.COM blogs. That’s not a free hosted WordPress>COM blog and we cannot help you here. You are posting to the wrong support forums. If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.org click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.org bloggers.

Actually http://persijs.wordpress.com/ is a WP.com blog.
How are you attempting to get the image in the sidebar? Use an image widget, that’s the easiest way. You can also use a text widget if you know how to code and the image is already uploaded.

If you’re seeing a questionmark then you used the wrong URL. Which URL did you try to use?
-
I do so.
From media library I activate photo. ( copy URL)
go widget and do so;
1. widget title – new photos
2. url – mg-8075_haarlem-nl.jpg
3.text; xxxxx
4. centre
5. size 80 *60
6. url – http://persijs.files.wordpress.com2013/03/mg_8075_haarlem.nl.ipg
SAVE
What I see on my page widget side, is : question mark. When I click on it the photo appears just on empty screen. Where I am wrong? -
First, you’ve got a typo that makes the URL invalid: there should be a slash before “2013”.
Second, the URL amended this way gives a 404:
http://persijs.files.wordpress.com/2013/03/mg_8075_haarlem_nl.jpg
So you either have more typos or you deleted the image from your media library.
Third, you didn’t even use that URL in the Image URL field of the widget, you used this invalid one:
http://mg_8075_haarlem_nl.jpgBetter start over: upload the image from your computer via Media > Add New; once it’s uploaded, click Edit, copy the exact complete File URL from the Save module, use that URL in the Image URL field of the Image widget.

Thank you very much. At least I have got the way how to do it.
Instead, some of your staff addressed me only slang…
P.S. Insertion of articles/ photo is quite complicated, but photo appears in very good quality.

You’re welcome.
a) Most of us are fellow bloggers volunteering. When you see “Member” below a username, it’s a volunteer. When you see avatar, username and date enclosed in a grey background, and a different label instead of “Member”, only then it is WP staff.
b) You get better quality (and no issues with bad browser versions) if yo don’t use oversized images that get scaled down by the widget, so the ideal is even more complicated: ideally you should first use an image editing application or an online tool to downsize a copy of the image to the appropriate pixel width (equal to or lower than the width of the sidebar), and upload that copy. The width of the sidebar in the theme you’re using is 278 pixels.
