if i don't pay for a renewal does it just got back to a wordpress site?

    Hi… it’s “time” to renew my domain name. But I just want to return it to a .wordpress site. Is that possible?

    If you do no want to keep your domain — and prefer to allow it to expire altogether — I can detach it from your site. Then you can go back to using the free hosting. Your site name will return to americaninleipzig.wordpress.com.

    Let me know if you’d like me to get rid of the expired domain from your account.

    Just to clarify, if you want to cancel your domain blog.keywordtransformations.com it can take up to several weeks for our domain registrar to release the domain, and it may not choose to do so. We can’t guarantee that your domain will ever be available to you again once canceled. If you have any intention of using blog.keywordtransformations.com again in the future, I suggest that you do not choose to cancel.

    Please confirm that you understand and want to cancel your domain. Once you have done so, I will cancel it and remove the upgrade from your account.

    I apologize for the “are you REALLY sure” reply, but losing a domain name can be a real nightmare for people and we try to make sure that everyone understands exactly what they are doing when they ask to cancel one.

    No, I do not want to cancel the blog. I want to keep the blog.americaninleipzig.com — i want to let go of the http://www.americaninleipzig.com and have it go back to americaninleipzig.wordpress.com .

    If you let the domain http://americaninleipzig.com/ expire, you will no longer be able to use blog.americaninleipzig.com, because it’s part of the same domain.

    It is possible for you to continue to access all of your content at americaninleipzig.wordpress.com no matter what you decide with your custom domain.

    So the options are pay $26 to keep using americaninleipzig.com and blog.americaninleipzig.com or cancel the domain and have your blog be accessible only at americaninleipzig.wordpress.com.

    If you make the second choice, americaninleipzig.com and blog.americaninleipzig.com will be cancelled and you may not be able to get them back.

    Does that make sense? If so, which option would you prefer?
