If I don't renew my subscription, will my domain still be active?
-
My domain, Ronniedauberauthor.com, expires in two days. I struggled so much with being able to post on it because it wouldn’t allow me in that I just let it go. If I don’t renew, then will the blog still be there only with the wordpress.com at the end? But more importantly, will this effect the blog that I post to all the time, which is ronniedauber.com? This is the blog that I don’t want to expire, and I will be renewing it very soon. My concern is that if I let the first one expire so it’s back to being wordpress.com, will it effect my Christian blog that I want to keep?

Yes – if you choose not to renew ronniedauberauthor.com, all of your content will still be available at ronniedauberauthor.wordpress.com.
But more importantly, will this effect the blog that I post to all the time, which is ronniedauber.com?
Nope! The domain ronniedauberauthor.com has no effect on your other site ronniedauber.wordpress.com (ronniedauber.com).

Just to clarify, were you having trouble with WordPress.com allowing you to post to ronniedauberauthor.com? If so, please let me know!

Thank you, Jeremy. I appreciate your encouragement. When I say that I struggled with being able to post, I mean that I could not copy and paste my words onto the blog page, and I couldn’t write them there because the format changed and the words went out of context. Since my Christian blog is my greatest concern, I just let this one fall to the side, but now I feel guilty because there were a lot of people following this blog.

That’s odd – you should be able to copy and paste directly into the post editor at WordPress.com. Are you receiving an error message when you try to paste?
-
I didn’t receive any messages at all; the site just wouldn’t allow me to post anything over a period of several weeks. But, since I’m facing the end of my subscription, I thought I’d try again today and so far, so good. Perhaps it was just a glitch for those weeks and I’ve wasted time not posting. Regardless, I’ve been able to write and add illustrations now so this just might work. And if it does then I think that it might be wise to just renew it and not lose my site name. I’ll keep you posted as to the final outcome of this blog post.

Okay, I posted on my blog and everything worked well except the words I typed were all a few seconds behind my fingers. I don’t think it’s my computer because that doesn’t happen anywhere else, and not with this post, either.
So, now that it seems to be working, and since I’ve had this site for a few years, I’ve decided to renew my subscription so that I won’t lose my identity on it. I do appreciate all your help, and I hope that everything we have discussed here will help anyone else who might have similar issues. Thanks, Jeremy.

That definitely shouldn’t be happening. Can you try using another browser like Chrome just to check?

Excellent!
