If I get a custom domain do I lose my current followers?

  My current blog web address is http://www.gringaofthebarrio.wordpress.com. If I accept the option in featured on my dashboard to upgrade to a custom web address “www.gringaofthebarrio.com” do I lose my current followers or do any past links and posts they have saved still land them on my blog at the new domain?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  When you upgrade, your followers, links, and posts will move to your custom web address.
