if i get a paid plan aand add a new domain will this affect my indexed pages?

    hello i want to ask if i get a paid plan and add a new domain will this affect or hurt my content that is indexed in the page number 1 in google ? will any thing happen to these type of content such as getting back in number 2 instead of 1?
    i asked wordpress support and they said it may impact for while but i also want to ask who tried this really how bad will this impact my indexed pages? and will this happen for long time or what?

    The trouble is different people would have different experiences. Search engines are pretty complex. If someone was affected this way, it likely depended on what their URL was before, and what it was after, for example.

    We can say that if you have a free site here, and you buy a custom domain for it, existing links will all continue to work. In fact we automatically tell Google and other search engines that the site has moved, so they can update their links.

    If your site is not on our servers, that’s not done automatically, so you’ll want to be sure you get all of those ducks in a row. You’ll also want to be sure you’re posting in the correct forum, since these forums are for sites managed here on our servers.
