If I get my own server and domain name, can I use JavaScript?

    Let’s say I get my own domain name and my own server and all that, but I want to use WordPress to edit my blog. Is that what WordPress.org is for? If it’s on my own server and I use WordPress can I still use JavaScript? Thanks.

    If you get your own domain and host software from http://wordpress.org on your own server then you can have javascript, you can cover your blog with advertising and affiliate links, media embeds, iframes, forms and, you can hack your theme to your heart’s content.

    With free standing wordpress.org software your own blog’s security would be all that is at risk. But due to the security risks you cannot do these things here on a wordpress.com hosted blog on this wp-MU multiuser blogging platform.
