If I lose my domain, what does my blog revert to?
-
I have two wordpress.com hosted blogs. I want to kind off combine them.
My main one , which I wish too keep, http://stephangiannini.com, I plan to purchase a different domain name for from wordpress that is currently available.
I believe that if the domain expires, for whatever reason, the site reverts back to its original blog name that I started with before I set up a registered domain name.
In this case It would be chicagopainter.wordpress.com. What I’d like to do is change that so it reverts back to paintedjournals.wordpress.com.,
Unfortunately I have that as an already running separate blog, which i would eliminate. Since I control both of them, is there a way to do that?
Failing that, how does one change what the blog reverts to?
And… failing that, I guess I could move the content of stephangiannini.com to paintedjournals.wordpress.com.
I know one can download the blog files for a transfer, but does that include everything, images and formatting, or do I end up having to go through all the old posts to get them right? I don’t know how complicated that is.
Thanks for any advice you can offer.
