If I migrate my blog will my followers also be migrated?

  If I migrate my blog to another wordpress domain will my followers also be migrated? I have about 60 followers under my current domain but would like to change the primary URL for that blog and want to know if the followers of the original blog will have to re-follow my new URL. Thanks!

  Let us know the address of the new domain and we’ll transfer the subscribers of your blog to it. If you want to redirect your visitors, you can use the Site Redirect upgrade.

  Thank you! I’m not quite ready to migrate just yet but I will send an email when I do. Also, I thought my visitors would be automatically redirected when I changed the primary domain?

  If you change the name servers of your domain away from WordPress.com, they won’t be redirected.

  Hi! I am ready to migrate my followers, can I still do that here? I would like them migrated from 90daysofcrossfit.wordpress.com to theascentblog.com. To clarify, they are currently following 90daysofcrossfit.wordpress.com and I am migrating that content and changing the primary domain to theascentblog.com and I want to make sure that my followers still get updated when I post new things.

  If you could help me out I would appreciate it! Thank you!

  I have the “Follow Blog” widget but not Jetpack. I just downloaded it and it saved to my computer, but can’t figure out how to add it to either WordPress blog.

  Ok, is it possible that the theme I’m using doesn’t have a Plug-In link on the left panel? I’m not seeing one. I could just be a doofus though.

  90daysofcrossfit.wordpress.com had 61 followers and theascentblog.com now only has 3 followers.

  Am I waiting for some more info to upload?

  Good news–It says I have 3 followers but when I click on the Followers link in my Stats page the rest all show up.
