  If I pay for my own domain will my current wordpress address still work if used?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  yes if you use domain mapping – you will then have two addresses for each URL – the one you have now and the new custom domain name –

  So if the .wordpress.com is used it will just redirect?

  Yes the redirection will be seamless from the WordPress.COM URL to the custom domain
