If I purchase a domain, how would it affect previous posts?

    Hi,
    I’m planning to get a domain registered with WordPress. How does it affect my previous posts?
    Like –
    1. If I have inter-links in my previous posts, how would they change?
    2. If someone has bookmarked my posts, would they need to update the link or would it auto-resolve?

    I understand that wherever I have synced the blog, I would need to provide them with the new URL, though.
    Also suggest, if there’s anything else I need to take care of while purchasing a domain?

    Kindly advise.

    Hi priyeshwagh777,

    Anyone visiting the free address will be automatically redirected to the custom domain afterwards — and only the custom domain will be visible in their browser’s address bar.

    Also suggest, if there’s anything else I need to take care of while purchasing a domain?

    Once you have registered the domain and set it as the primary domain for the site, you should be all set :)
